Michael is originally from Inverness whilst Karen is from Airdrie. Michael and Karen have two sons - Sean and Jamie, both born in Glasgow. Sean now lives in New Zealand whilst Jamie lives in Glasgow. Daughter Katie was born in Irvine and still stays in Galston.
