Nicki Teager was born in Irvine in 1976, growing up on the Bourtreehill estate. Now living in Dreghorn with husband Stuart and their retired greyhounds, Nicki spent many of her formative years being involved in the Ayrshire alternative music scene, playing drums in local punk band ‘Holmes’ and helping to organise gigs through Low Wattage promotions. After an 11-year stint in local journalism, Nicki now works as a Communications Officer.
Although now ‘retired’ from drumming in a band, she still enjoys playing music with friends, attempting to learn the cello and melodica, as well as messing about with various rarely-completed art projects.
