Mikey Lennon is from Kilbarchan but found a home in Kilmarnock.
“To describe myself, firstly I am a father of 3 girls who are my life and my interest. To create such beautiful humans is my greatest achievement and also my proudest. Outwith being a father, I have a strong passion for music but early on I discovered very quickly I had zero talent and maybe less patience to be an accomplished musician and vocally I’m tone deaf, but that didn’t discourage me on my love for live music and being involved in the scene.
I followed the local music scene and quickly became involved by becoming the manager of a local band who were making big waves. This then spiralled me into meeting local promoters and venue operators and resulting in us coming together and starting our own projects taking the live music we loved to put on in our home town to further afield towns and cities.
After the days of touring with bands I had the pleasure of going into the pub trade with my closest friend and excelling at that. We have pushed on to more venues and even opened up our old venue to revisit trying to grow the music scene in our home town. This is a passion I don’t think will ever go away.” - Mikey Lennon
