Megan MacKenzie

Megan MacKenzie, originally from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, is a passionate social worker with a deep-rooted commitment to social justice. Drawing on her family’s legacy of advocacy, particularly the activist spirit of the Browns, Megan is dedicated to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use issues. Her work reflects her belief that those in need of help are not just clients—they are her people.

Having spent 19 years in Ontario, Megan recently returned to her roots in Nova Scotia, bringing her two children along for the journey. This return to Antigonish marked a homecoming that was filled with meaning, reconnecting her with the place and community that shaped her.

In addition to her career, Megan is devoted to shaping the lives of her two young children, hoping to nurture their sharp minds and help them grow into individuals who can contribute positively to the world. She believes that home is where the heart is, and her heart has found its way back to Nova Scotia, where she can embrace her family’s legacy while fostering the next generation’s potential.
