Jolyn Crawford is an individual with a diverse background and interests. Jolyn was born on June 17th, 1965, and at 58 years old, she carries a wealth of life experiences. Originally from Dalry in Ayrshire, she spent 22 years in London before eventually settling in Dalrymple, Ayrshire.

Jolyn’s creative inclinations have been with her from an early age. She’s been writing poetry, play scripts, and short stories since her childhood. She pursued her creative writing studies through Open University and also achieved proficiency in music theory up to Grade 5.

At present, Jolyn’s creativity takes various forms. She’s engaged in crafting poetry, songs, scripts, and short stories. She’s also involved in performance arts, including singing, acting, and performing poetry.

Within the Ayrshire community, Jolyn is connected to the Burns movement. She holds the position of Senior Vice President at the Alloway Burns Club and will be taking on the role of President in 2025. Additionally, she serves as the Secretary of The Burns Bachelors Performers, a group dedicated to celebrating the cultural heritage of Robert Burns.

Jolyn’s engagement with the arts extends to The Ayr Fort Players, a theatre group in Ayr. This involvement showcases her passion for storytelling and drama.

Outside of her creative pursuits, Jolyn has a soft spot for animals. She shares her home with two dogs and two cats, reflecting her fondness for animals.
