John Spiers

John Spiers, a native of Tarbolton, Ayrshire, hails from a lineage deeply rooted in the region, their roots predating the illustrious era of Robert Burns in the 18th century. John dedicated himself to primary school teaching, enriching the minds of young learners at both Logan and Coylton.

Notably, since 1997, John has graciously volunteered as the chief dishwasher at the ‘65 Club’ in Prestwick — a cherished haven catering to pensioners and the disabled. His selfless commitment to this endeavour reflects the compassion that defines his character.

Moreover, for over four decades, John Spiers has played an integral role in the Bachelors’ Club committee, a testament to his unwavering dedication to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region.
