He as made notable appearances on various TV programs and films, where he passionately discusses and deliberates upon the life and works of Robert Burns.
John possesses an extraordinary depth of knowledge about Burns, with a particular emphasis on the Tarbolton connection. Before his illustrious career as a Burns expert, John’s life journey included stints as a miner and a crisp salesman. Presently, he contributes his expertise to Network Rail, where he serves as a senior rail technician.
