Edith Casey

Edith Casey, born on June 17, 1977, in North Glasgow, has been an exceptional singer since the age of 3. Her musical abilities were evident early on; by the age of 8, Edith was already playing the keyboard, and later, the trumpet, which she played for six years. By 10, she was an active member of her local church choir, where she frequently led the congregation in song during weekly services.

Throughout secondary school, Edith focused on classical music, and later pursued her studies at college, where she trained in childcare and education. At 19, she moved to the USA to work as a nanny for a family with four children.

Edith then attended the University of Farmington in Maine, where she studied music and became one of the lead soprano singers in the university’s choir. Upon returning to Scotland, she continued her studies at North Glasgow College while working full-time at the Daily Record newspaper, where she remained for over 30 years.

Today, Edith is a Treatment Coordinator for an orthodontist in Glasgow. Despite her busy career, she continues to pursue her passion for singing and performs live whenever her schedule allows.
