David Rae, a dedicated member of the Bachelors’ Club in Tarbolton, is a passionate orator on the subject of Robert Burns. Born in October 1965, he has been a lifelong resident of Mossblown, Ayrshire. David is happily married to Audrey and is the proud father of one son, Alexander.
Having demonstrated his commitment to the community, David is a Past Master of Tarbolton Kilwinning St James 135 and is an active member of the Ayrshire Masonic Burns Association. He recently assumed a role within the Bachelors’ Club Committee, furthering his involvement in the world of Burns.
With a deep Ayrshire heritage, Robert Burns has been a constant presence in David’s life, a source of both joy and inspiration. Among the poet’s vast body of work, David’s personal favorite is “Epistle to a Young Friend."
