Calum Grant was born and raised in Kilmarnock but moved to Glasgow after leaving school. He is a singer and guitarist with cult band “San Jose”.
“Calum John Grant is the son of John Grant (the author of this book). It can be suggested that in that respect Calum is a nepotism baby, and that his inclusion here is a result of said nepotism.
Calum is a keen talker, below average musician and an expert in spending other people’s money. He sometimes enjoys playing in a band, and other times he does not.
Although he studies politics and journalism at the University of Strathclyde, Calum does not want to become a foreign correspondant. Instead, he possesses a desire to travel and eat for all the time he has been afforded.” - Calum
