Andrew Thomson - Composed by John C Grant (https://johncgrant.com). Traditional composer from Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Composed in honour of Andrew “Drew” Thomson of Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland, this piece reflects his journey through life and career. After studying at Rosehall High School and New College Lanarkshire, Drew began his working life as a forklift driver at a Morrisons distribution centre, where he spent five years. In 2014, he made a significant career shift, transitioning to become a Desktop Support Engineer in the IT department at the Daily Record newspaper in Glasgow. It was during his time there, in 2012, that he met his future partner, Stephanie D’Ambrosio.

Drew and Stephanie are now the proud parents of two sons, Harris and Blair. Both Drew and Stephanie currently work for Version 1, a Dublin-based company, continuing to build successful careers while balancing family life.
