Alan Brown has been the Member of Parliament in Westminster (MP) for Kilmarnock
and Loudoun since 7 May 2015. He was selected to contest the Kilmarnock and
Loudoun constituency for the party at the 2015 general election and received 30,000
votes (a 55.7% share) defeating the Labour incumbent Cathy Jamieson. The first
Scottish seat to declare on election night, the constituency was the first SNP gain.
